Luke James Bissell, a 1997 graduate of Sweet Home High School, successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis, entitled “Experimental Realization of Efficient, Room Temperature Single-Photon Sources with Definite Circular and Linear Polarizations,” in optical engineering (physics) on Sept. 12 at the University of Rochester, Rochester, N.Y.
Bissell is the son of Elwin Bissell and Ginny Cotter. His grandparents are Alfred and Eva Bissell and William H. and Sara E. Johnson.
