The Linn County Fire Defense Board ended the county-wide burning ban on Friday, Oct. 1, but due to lingering wildfire danger, the Oregon Department of Forestry is requiring residents who live within the ODF fire protection district and plan to burn backyard debris to obtain a burn permit from the state agency.
