Ruby Ione Geil, 90, a longtime resident of Sweet Home died Aug. 24, 2010 at a care home in Salem.
She was born Sept. 7, 1919 in Rock, Ill., the daughter of John and Nellie (Earle) Kroenlein. She moved to Sweet Home as a teen, graduating from Sweet Home Union High School.
She married Floyd Geil in Albany on May 11, 1937. The couple lived in Portland for 15 years and three years in Salem.…
