Robert E. “Bob” Conrad, 83, of Coos Bay died Aug. 26, 2010.
He was born Nov. 4, 1926 in Uniontown, Kan. to Thomas and Della Rae (Gage) Conrad. He grew up in a large, close, fun-loving family. He was educated in Kansas and Washington states public schools.
After World War II broke out, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy as soon as he turned 18. He served through the Vietnam War, retiring fom the Navy…
