Jake Riggs and Mike Fontenot finished the first round of the state 4A boys golf tournament Monday tied for 53rd and 85th respectively at Emerald Valley Golf Club in Eugene.
Riggs shot an 90, which, Coach Tom Horn said, was about a normal round for him.
“Jake is right in the middle of the individuals who qualified,” he said. “He did fine. He had three holes that really kind of blew his score up.”
