The owners of the local Fun Forest Tree Farm have been named the American Tree Farm System’s Western Regional Outstanding Tree Farmers of the Year, from among 14 applicants in 17 states.
Fun Forest will compete with outstanding tree farmers from three other regions for national Outstanding Tree Farmers of the Year July 13-15 in Burlington, Vt.
Owners of the farm include Scott Melcher, Jim Cota and Maryann Melcher.
