Burley Gordon Shockey, 88, of Dallas, formerly of Sweet Home, died March 25, 2010.
He was born April 5, 1921 in Witts Springs, Ark. to James Thompson and Zora Elizabeth (Bond) Shockey.
Mr. Shockey served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was in Patton’s 3rd Army in the 818th Tank Destroyer Battalion. He served in all the major battles with Patton’s Army.
After the war he moved to Sweet Home in 1947…
