Sweet Home hosted its first high school forestry competition in some 25 years Saturday, with forestry clubs from four other schools: Philomath, Scio and Knappa high schools, and Sabin Learning Center.
Sweet Home Forestry Club was second overall in the competition, which took place in front of a crowd of local loggers and family members.
