Sweet Home had a good day at the Thurston Invitational Saturday, sweeping competition that included two teams ranked in the 6A division and one in the 2A classification.
Against Thurston, ranked sixth in the 5A division, Sweet Home won 51-24, again scoring eight falls against the Colts.
Against ninth-ranked 6A team Grants Pass, Sweet Home “got on a roll,” Coach Steve Thorpe said, and mowed the Cavemen down, 66-15, behind nine pins by the Huskies.
