The Oregon Department of Forestry’s South Cascade District, which includes Linn County and the eastern portion of Lane County, stepped up fire safety restrictions in the forest July 20 due to the rising wildfire hazard.
ODF announced Monday, July 27, that its North Cascade Forest Protection District, which includes eastern Linn County, would go from Level 2 to Level 3 on Tuesday, July 28.
“Fire danger has greatly increased,” said Protection Unit Forester Ed Keith.
