Shedd woman gets nearly 6 years for Frontier stabbing

A woman accused of stabbing a man and woman outside the Frontier tavern was sentenced on June 10 to five years 10 months in prison.

Lana Jean Hecocta, 28, of Shedd pleaded guilty in Linn County Circuit Court to two counts of second-degree assault, a class B felony. One count of attempted murder and one count of second-degree assault were dismissed.
