John H. Baker of Newport will speak about Camp Adair at the monthly meeting of the Sweet Home Genealogical Society at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at 1223 Kalmia St.
Camp Adair was Oregon’s second-largest city during World War II and is now the largest ghost town in the state.
Baker has written a book about the camp and will have copies for sale.
