School District 55 welcomed 10 new teachers to its staff at a luncheon on Monday.
Those teachers include the following:
— Karen Bowman, Title I teacher at Hawthorne and Oak Heights Elementary School. Mrs. Bowman replaces Mrs. Sawyer at Oak Heights as an extended kindergarten teacher and Mrs. Simpson at Hawthorne. Mrs. Bowman has been a teacher for 18 years, most recently in Lakeview. She has a BS degree from Western Oregon University.
