Plans are underway for the “Mexican Fiesta” celebration of the 60th annual Chamber of Commerce awards banquet to be held February 7, 2004 at the Jim Riggs Community Center.
Nominations are being sought for the volunteers of 2003.
V.I.P.s of the community have volunteered numerous hours of community service and are recognized by the President’s Club.
Guidelines for nominations include: Open to male or female, ages 18 and up. Must be a resident or worker within the Sweet Home School District and be involved in one or more community non paid project which includes a considerable amount of volunteer time. At least one of their activities should have been completed during the current year and other previous year’s activities may be listed.
VIP nominations are due by 4 p.m. January 19, 2004 at the Chamber office or by mailing to 1575 Main.
Nominations for First Citizen, Distinguished Service, Women of the Year and Junior First Citizen are also due January 19, 2004.
