Local contractors and businesses joined together last week to complete a project at the home of one of their own who died recently of cancer. Dan Ferebee was only 46 when he died and left his wife Tina and family. The family’s driveway and sidewalk area on 9th Ave. were in disrepair and their home needed new gutters. Contractors joined in to put new gutters on the house and to remove old concrete and lay new before winter sets in. Site prep was courtesy of Jim Philpott and Larry Lester of Lester Sales. Monetary donations came from Dwight Blatchley, Lyle Westin and Mike Stevens. Morse Brothers donated concrete. Lending a hand were Bill Langdon, Bob Reinhold, Boots Davis, Don Davis, Rob Tressel, Travis VanEpps, Roger Connor and Terry Lee, who donated and installed the gutters. More than $820 in cash was donated in addition to labor and materials.
