The Sweet Home Budget Committee agreed to provide $20,000 to School District 55 this year to help keep the pool open.
The pool is scheduled to close from Aug. 2 to Nov. 2 under the proposed School District budget. It would take $30,000 to keep it open through those three months.
Schools Supt. Larry Horton asked the budget committee to provide the funding during the committee’s meeting on Thursday night.
