If a levy request by the City of Sweet Home fails on May 20, Sweet Home Public Library will close on July 1.
The City of Sweet Home is seeking a levy of $181,771. That is an increase of 48.5 percent, from $122,384. The rate itself increases 44 percent, from 48 cents per $1,000 of property valuation to 69 cents per $1,000.
