City Attorney Robert Snyder reported that Development by Design had provided a check for $10,000 in earnest money, accepting the City Council’s terms for the sale of the old rodeo grounds on 49th Avenue.
Development by Design President Dan Desler had offered $275,000 for the 11-acre property. Under his offer, the city would have paid fees and a commission to a real estate agent.
