With more than 200,000 acres of Oregon timberlands on fire, the Linn District of the Oregon Department of Forestry has raised the local fire danger level as well as the industrial fire precaution level for working loggers.
Paul Bell, district forester, said the area went into fire season June 15 due to a heat snap.
