Nine girls are competing for the Calapooia Roundup Court.
One will be named rodeo queen. Two others will be princesses.
The creation of a court is part of a trend among rodeos, Rodeo Committee Chairman Andrea Meyers said. “Other rodeos are not just having a single queen but having a regular court.”
This move is to help show, while entering parades and other events, that the Calapooia Roundup and Sweet Home Rodeo is growing.
