Lori Smith knows each of her 19 adopted family members by name, from the four two-week olds to the seven year old that roams her yard.
Each has a story, she adds. Some were abandoned on her doorstep in the middle of the night. Others were rescued by law enforcement agencies after they were dumped or left behind when a family moved.
