Veterans and families of veterans gathered at three area cemeteries Monday morning to honor those who sacrificed their lives for their country.
More than 1 million Americans have died since the American Revolution defending the nation’s freedom and liberty, Roger McElhiney of the Veterans of Foreign Wars said. “We see their dedication, courage and sacrifice and appreciate the freedom” they secured for this nation.
