Wilda Lorene Bennett, 92, of Sweet Home died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019.
She was born in Alfalfa, Okla., to Loren and Mae (Christian) Fullerton on Nov. 2, 1926.
She graduated from high school in Alfalfa and completed one year of college.
Mrs. Bennett married David Bennett on June 19, 1945 in San Diego, Calif. They lived in Central and Southern California for many years before moving to Sweet Home, where they lived more than 45 years.
She was devoted to her family and loved gardening, cooking and crocheting. Her life was guided by her Christian faith.
Mrs. Bennett is survived by her daughters, Linda Hervig (Robert) of San Diego, Calif., Brenda Kuchenbecker (Roger) of Sweet Home; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David; son, James; parents, Loren and Mae Fullerton; infant brother Glen; brothers, Hewlett and Bud; sisters, Frances Routh, Doris Fanning and Maxine Kenedy.
Donations may be made in her name to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice (1046 SW Sixth Avenue, Albany, Oregon 97321), The American Heart Association or a charity of one’s choice.
A private graveside service was held at Lewis Cemetery.
Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
