Janice Borden, 72, of Sweet Home died Aug. 1, 2019.
She was born Sept. 13, 1946 in Monroe, Wis. to Theodore and Betty (McKibben) Meichtry.
She moved to Sweet Home, where she met James in 1980. They moved to Texas, then, in the late 1980s, they moved to Redmond. In 2002 she returned to Sweet Home.
Mrs. Borden was a nurse. She loved fishing, bingo, hunting, dice games and quilting.
She is survived by two daughters, Deena Cain and Lauri Roles; two sons, Larry Borden and Mike Borden; three sisters, Sharon Stafford, Vickie Walker and Donna Lucontro; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Borden was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Borden; son Steven R. Norenberg; sister Christine Emma; mother Betty J. Meichtry; and father Theodore R. Meichtry.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at Sweet Home VFW.
