Sherman Stevenson, 92, of Sweet Home passed away March 29, 2019.
He was born Feb. 26, 1927 in Broken Bow, Okla. to George and Laura E. (Davis) Stevenson.
He served in the United States Navy from April 18, 1945 to Nov. 16, 1946.
Sherman worked in a hospital in San Diego, Calif. He was a mill worker and became a West Coast lumber grader. He retired from the saw mill.
He was alway a church-going man.
He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, boating, camping and sewing. He loved being with his family.
Sherman is survived by his daughter, Debie Rowley of Sweet Home; brother Garland Stevenson of Telephone, Texas; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Venita; and his son Richard.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at Kings Chapel in Lebanon.
