Todd Allen Carter, 57, of Crawfordsville died Dec. 17, 2018.
He was born Nov. 30, 1961 in Lebanon to James Walter and Gloria Jean (Underwood) Carter.
He lived in Sweet Home until 1995 when he moved to Crawfordsville.
Mr. Carter worked as a forklift operator for Publisher Paper, Smurfitt Newsprint and Linmar Doors from 1980 to 2004. He then worked as a high-tech rigger for MEI until 2014. In 2015 he began work at Hoy’s Hardware as a small engine mechanic.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mechanic work, camping, going to the dunes with the Bad Boy Buggy Club and cooking on the Traeger.
Mr. Carter is survived by his wife, Tammy Carter of Crawfordsville; children Lance and daughter-in-law Chanale Carter of Lebanon, Jordan Carter of Sweet Home, Ami and son-in-law Jacob Jones of Peoria, and Jeremy Carter and Jasmine Carter, both of Crawfordsville; dad James Carter of Sweet Home; sisters Teresa and brother-in-law Rick Riper of Crawfordsville, and Dianne and brother-law Mike Cochran of Sweet Home; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother Gloria Jean Carter in 2013.
Celebration of Life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Community Chapel.
