Leida Mary Dewey, 88, of Sweet Home died May 14, 2018.

She was born Dec. 29, 1929 in Okahoma City, Okla. to Ross Walter and Mina Marie (McDaniel) Williams.

She lived in New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, Washington and Idaho before settling in Sweet Home in 1946. She married Harlin Lovely in 1949. They later divorced. She married Clifford Dewey in 1967.

Mrs. Dewey worked at Safeway for 26 years until she retired in 1990. She has been a member of 18th and Long Christian Church since 1956.

She collected state plates from all 50 states.

Mrs. Dewey is survived by her son, Terry Guy Lovely of Sweet Home; daughter Pamela S. and Bill Hawkins of Ft. Worth, Texas; step-daughter Patty Stafford Parks of Stayton; sisters Sarah Johnson and Leota Harrison, both of Lebanon, and Vivian Meacham of Nampa, Idaho; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; sister Rosa Lou Wilkerson; and brothers Ross Williams and Lonnie Williams.
