Nancy Holmes, 75, of Sweet Home died Feb. 22, 2018.
She was born Dec. 28, 1942 in Chico, Calif. to Ray and Doris Dorcas (Cantwell) Broadbent.
Mrs. Holmes moved to Oregon from California in 1973. In 1986 she moved to her dream home acreage.
She worked for 25 years as a tax consultant at Sweet Home Bookkeeping and Little Promises Children’s Program. She retired as a secretary at Sweet Home Evangelical Church.
Mrs. Holmes ate, breathed and loved her horses. She enjoyed endurance riding and trail rides. She figured she had ridden over 12,000 miles.
Mrs. Holmes is survived by her husband, Allan Holmes of Lebanon; daughter Kathy Nicholson of Stayton; son Greg and daughter-in-law Abril Holmes of Lebanon; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, at Sweet Home Evangelical Church.
