Larry Watts

Larry Eugene Watts, 77, died Nov. 24, 2017, at OHSU Hospital in Portland following a brief illness. 

He was born Jan. 2, 1940and was raised in Crescent, Okla.,  where he lived with his parents Sky and Katherine Watts and his older brother Loren.

He attended the local Baptist church. He graduated from Crescent High School and joined the United States Air Force, serving for six years. After the service he became a long-haul truck driver, travelling all over the continental United States. He met his wife Clara who joined him on the road. 

He settled in Sweet Home Oregon in 1990 to be closer to his wife’s family.

He enjoyed bowling and being a baseball umpire in Sweet Home for a season. He was also a member of the Sweet Home Elks.

He leaves his wife of 31 years, Clara Watts; and many family, friends and coffee buddies at McDonald’s who will miss him. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at Waterloo Baptist Church in Waterloo.
