Marie Annette Seiber, 75, of Sweet Home, died Dec. 9, 2017.
She was born Dec. 6, 1942 in Tacoma, Wash. to Elbert and Mildred (Larson) Bowen.
Her family moved to Sweet Home, where she attended elementary and senior schools.
Mrs. Seiber’s hobbies included gardening and growing flowers. She worked as a flagger, waitress, custodian and homemaker.
On March 28, 1969, she married James R. Seiber. Together they raised seven children.
Mrs. Seiber is survived by her husband of 48 years, James; children Brenda Seiber-Graber of Sweet Home, Ken Seiber of Bend, Dean Triplett of Albany, Daryl Triplett of Sweet Home, Gayle Seiber-Giddings of Lebanon, John Metzer of LaPine and Tanya Colgan-Ramoz of Newport; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sisters MaryLou Vaughn of Sweet Home and Sherry Lee of Lebanon; and her 28-pound kitty, Steve Martin, which she rescued from an animal shelter in LaPine.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Joanne and Barbara; and brothers Kenneth and Gerald “Butch”.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at Sweet Home Mennonite Church. A luncheon will follow the service.
