David Allan Jewell, 63, of Sweet Home, died Nov. 30. 2017.
He was born June 16, 1954 in Lebanon to Doile Howard “Red” and Molly Mae (Carter) Jewell.
He was raised in Sweet Home till he enlisted in the United States Army in 1972. He served in the United States Army HHC, 9th Division, 15th Combat Engineer BN (E4). He was stationed in Fort Lewis, Wash. till 1975 then returned to Sweet Home.
Mr. Jewell was an AMVETS Post 13 member and was a commander. He assisted with Double D. Karaoke for 10 years.
He worked at Willamette Industries and Weyerhaeuser for 32 years.
Mr. Jewell was a master exterior illuminator with holiday lights. He loved camping, hunting, livestock, projects, fund-raising and anything with his family.
He is survived by his wife Debbie (Lannom) Jewell; children: Kimi (Jewell) and her husband Cortney Nash, Jeremy and his wife Stacey Jewell all of Sweet Home; three granddaughters; two grandsons; and one great-grandson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Sweet Home Funeral Chapel to help with services.
