Brenda Johnson

Brenda Kay Johnson, 71, of Sweet Home died Sept. 19, 2017.

She was born Sept. 17, 1946 in Harlem, Mont. to Walter and Dorothy (Wolfe) Mord.

She was raised and educated at Chinook Montana High School and graduated in the Class of 1965.

She married Robert Johnson on June 10, 1966 in Reno, Nev., and they settled in Gilcrest. Mrs. Johnson worked at Gilcrest Timber for many years before embarking on a career as a certified nursing assistant, helping to care for those in need.

She loved fishing in the ocean and streams. She also enjoyed canning.

Mrs. Johnson was an amazing woman who was loved by everyone she met. She always gave more than she needed to or ever expected to receive. She had a heart big enough to fill the entire world. She will be forever loved and missed by so many.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by a stepson, Kurtus Johnson; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by step-son Robert K. Johnson; grandson Robert V.K. Johnson; and daughter-in-law Lynne Johnson.

A funeral service was held Sept. 23 at Holley Christian Church, with final burial at Lewis Cemetery.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
