Marjorie Emeline Cornwell, 91, of Sweet Home died July 22, 2017.
She was born Oct. 12, 1925 in Vienna, Mo. to George Loren and Iva Luzena (Albertson) Rider.
She lived in Missouri, California and Oregon. She and her husband at one time owned the ghost town at Wolf Creek where “Gunsmoke” was filmed.
Mrs. Cornwell was an amazing cook, responsible for the best fried chicken and venison jerky in the state.
She enjoyed swimming and gardening.
Mrs. Cornwell is survived by two granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville George Cornwell in 2002; daughter Barbara Kimball in 2005; and son Donald Cornwell in 2004.
Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
