Ila Greenaway

Ila Ione Greenaway, 99, of Sweet Home died June 12, 2017.
She was born March 1, 1918 in Holley to Oran C. and Etta Lela (Hufford) King.
She was raised in Holley.
She made her choice to serve the Lord when she was 14 years of age, in meetings that were held by Agda Sterling and Rose Spears, in Halsey.
While she was single she worked as a nurse and then a clerk.
She married Jacob Greenaway Nov. 28, 1945 in Oregon City. After children arrived, Mrs. Greenaway was a homemaker.
From the early 1950’s to 1988, the Greenaways lived in Spokane, Wash. In 1989 they moved to Sweet Home, where she spent her final years.
She is survived by her son Larry, three sisters, a brother, and many friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 20, at Sweet Home Evangelical Church, with final burial at Gilliland Cemetery.
