Richard Fromcke

Richard “Dick” Neal Fromcke, 80, of Sweet Home died March 24, 2017.

He was born Nov. 17, 1936 in Siloam Springs, Ark. to Edward and Nora (Forester) Fromcke.

Mr. Fromcke served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. Following his Army service, he served with the United States Marines and was in combat during the Korean War with the 101st Airborne Division. He was honorably discharged from the Marines.

Mr. Fromcke traveled and lived in many places before settling in Sweet Home. He worked for Willamette Industries for over 30 years and retired in 2002. He was also a lifetime member of the Elks.

He enjoyed gardening, cutting wood and playing pool.

Mr. Fromcke is survived by his children, Denise and son-in-law Mike Wolfe, and Dennis and daughter-in-law Kathy Fromcke; two grandchildren; and his Boston terrier Roxy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Fromcke; mother Nora Hollaway, father Edward Fromcke; and sister Nadine.

A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, at Gilliland Cemetery.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
