Sept. 27, 1959 – Jan. 28, 2017
Patricia Joy Witt, 57, of Sweet Home died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Jan. 28, 2017.
She was born Sept. 27, 1959 in Springville, N.Y., to John and Patricia Ann (Bourgoine) Santello.
She lived in Springville and in Montana before settling in Sweet Home in 2010 to raise her three grandchildren.
Mrs. Witt enjoyed horses, Harley rides and dancing. She loved the outdoors and taking random fun trips. It was always about the quality of life and making the best of what she had. She was a longtime faithful employee of The Point Restaurant.
Mrs. Witt was a very strong woman. She was selfless and cared about helping others. She always wanted people around her. She was a huge dog lover and left behind her beloved “Harry.” Most of all, she loved her family. She always made sure her family came first.
Mrs. Witt made a seemingly impossible situation seem doable. She worked extremely hard to give her family everything they needed. She was raising her three grandchildren until her death.
She is survived by her children Amber Clifton of Idaho, Justin Clifton of Hayden, Idaho, and Katie Witt of Port Orford; six grandchildren; mother and step-father Patricia and Les Bourgoine of Lebanon; siblings Dorthy and brother-in-law Keith Fitzmaurice of Vancouver, Wash., Kenneth and sister-in-law Cindy Patterson of Menifee, Calif.; nephew Jason Adams of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; nieces Marin and her husband Matt Hislop of Corvallis, Melina Patterson of Tigard, and Christina and her husband Jeff Ross of Menifee, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Gregory Clifton, in 1997; her second husband, Gary Thomas Witt, in 2009; and brother William John Santello in 1957.
Celebration of Life will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb.18, at Sweet Home Elks Lodge.
Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
