Jeffery B. Goertzen, 48, of Sweet Home died Jan. 17, 2107. He was born Sept. 18, 1968 in Grand Island, Neb. to Frances Goertzen-Wilson.
He married Jennifer Bom-berger and had two daughters, Katherine Lucille and JoVanna Louise. They divorced. Later, Mr. Goertzen married Terry Blaylock on July 5, 2008.
He had many jobs, including construction, cook, forklift driver and small engine mechanic.
He loved music and playing his drums.
Mr. Goertzen accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age and was baptized. He had been attending Sweet Home Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Terry of Sweet Home; daughters Charlotte of Oregon, Katherine L. Goertzen and JoVanna L. Goertzen both of Nebraska; stepchildren Jessica Weitman of Aumsville, and Dakota Weitman of Eugene; parents Frances and Mike Wilson of Sweet Home; and three granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Merle and Adella Goertzen.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Sweet Home Christian Church. Mr. Goert-zen’s ashes will be spread in Nebraska in July.
