Kenneth LeRoy Krell, 74, of Sweet Home, died peacefully at home Aug. 19, 2016.
He was born May 29, 1942 in Plankinton, S.D. to Clarence and Mildred (Doran) Krell.
Mr. Krell attended school with his favorite cousins in the Plankinton area. He went on to become a lineman with 46 years in the I.B.E.W. After traveling to numerous states for work, he settled in Sweet Home to be close to family. During his 12 years of retirement, Mr. Krell was always proud to point out the power lines he helped build.
From power lines to fishing line, he was passionate about the things he loved.
He was a fishing fanatic and enjoyed spending time on the boat with his fishing buddies, trying to catch the big one. He especially loved to fish for salmon and walleye. His other hobbies included bowling, hunting and classic cars.
Mr. Krell is survived by his best friend and wife, Lynda; son Curtis Krell and companion Julie Beamer; son Randy and daughter-in-law Lorrie Krell of Billings, Mont.; daughter Kim Hayes of Billings, Mont.; brother Wayne and sister-in-law Phyllis Krell; niece Pam and her husband Randy Stainbrook of Rapid City, S.D.; and his dog Velvet.
Graveside services were held Aug. 23 at Lewis Cemetery in Foster.
