Beverly Jean Kelly, 79, of Portland, a former longtime resident of Sweet Home, died May 22 at the Adventist Medical Center in Portland.
She was born April 4, 1937 in Tracy, Minn. to Melvin and Velma (Vanderlinden) Pletten.
For the last several years, she has resided in Portland with her youngest daughter and was cared for by family.
She is survived by four of her five children: Richard Johnson, Julie Hunter, Jeanie Frazier and Beth Sather; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was buried at Lewis Cemetery in Sweet Home where her other son, Bryon, was interred in 1973.
A funeral was held May 31 at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel, which is handling the arrangements.
