Jeanna Carle Maughmer, 82, of Sweet Home died April 13, 2016.
She was born June 18, 1933 in Salem to Carl and Eva Irene (Moore) Owsley.
Her first husband was in the military, so the family moved a great deal. She lived in Oregon, California, Maine, Hawaii and finally settled back in Oregon. She was married five times, to John Warren Hicks, Earl Kenneth Maughmer, Darrel Yardley, Bob Stone and Cyrus Blodgett. Following Mr. Blodgett’s death, she remained a widow.
Mrs. Maughmer was a member of the Church of Christ in Lebanon, Albany and Sweet Home.
She enjoyed horses, family history and reading.
Mrs. Maughmer is survived by three sons: John Hicks, Carl Yardley and Larry Hicks, all of Sweet Home; and Earl Maughmer of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter Holly Hicks of Albany; siblings Larry Coonrod of Sweet Home, Carl Coonrod of Marysville, Wash., Carlene Karns of Mossyrock, Wash., Juanita Henny of Toledo, and Lola of Norfolk, Neb.; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, with another on the way; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cyrus Blodgett; and daughter Juanita Hicks in 1975.
