Ralph Loe, 84, passed away peacefully at his home in Corvallis Dec. 3, 2015.
Ralph lived most of his life in Sweet Home, Philomath and Corvallis.
Ralph enjoyed a long and varied career in the “wood business.” Early in his career, he worked in local logging, Willamette National, TOMCO, Clemens Forest Products and International Paper.
He was an original co-founder of Wood Castle Furniture in Corvallis. He owned and managed Wood Castle forest products along with his son Ryan, until his retirement in 1993.
Ralph and Rita enjoyed traveling to all 50 states, Canada and Mexico.
Spending his retirement winters near Palm Springs, he was an avid golfer.
With a focus on family and friends, he was a positive energy on every life he touched.
He is survived by his immediate family: wife of 64 years, Rita, children: Ron and Shirley, Rod, Ryan and Stacia, and Rachelle and Leigh; eight grandkids, and two great-grandkids. Ralph is also survived by an extended family and myriad of friends.
Per his wishes, the family is inviting family and friends to a “Celebration of Life” from 1 to 4 p.m. on Jan 10 at Boulder Falls Conference Center, 505 Mullins Drive, Lebanon.
