Caryn May Schneider, 37, of Sweet Home died May 2, 2015 at her home.
She was born Jan. 3, 1978 in Springfield, the daughter of Gary and Frances (McDonald) Schneider.
She and her family came to Sweet Home when she was 3 At 5 years old she was diagnosed with Fredreich ataxia, a debilitating, life-shortening, degenerative neuro-muscular disorder.
She attended Oak Heights Elementary through Sweet Home High School, graduating in 1996.
Miss Schneider was a writer of short stories and poems, and a voracious reader. She volunteered as a helper at the Sweet Home Library, listening and reading to children. She enjoyed doing needlework and beadwork.
She had a sweet, infectious spirit that allowed her to make many friends. She will be missed by her many friends she made at MDA Camp and on MDA social networks, as well as many people in our community.
Miss Schneider is survived by her mom, Frances Schneider of Sweet Home; brother Robert Schneider and sister-in-law Tamisha; grandmother Julia Schneider of Hermiston; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins in Hermiston; and many more people that were important to her.
She was preceded in death by her dad, Gary Schneider; sister Nicole Schneider; and grandfather Raymond Schneider.
Funeral Services are planned for 10 a.m. Friday, May 8, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
