Merlyn Wisner

Sept. 13, 1936 – March 16, 2015

Merlyn Morris Wisner was born Sept. 13, 1936 in the big yellow house on Highway 20 owned by her Aunt and Uncle Muriel and Albin Nothiger.

Her parents Merle and Virginia Morris were residents of Holley at the time of her birth. They later moved to Cascadia.

She was the second-oldest of seven children. Brothers Dale and Ervle preceded her in death.

She is survived by brothers Larry, Norman, Steven and Dennis.

Merlyn passed away on March 16, 2015 at her home in Chehalis, Wash.

She graduated from Sweet Home Union High School in 1954. She married Douglas Wisner on April 7, 1956. She worked primarily as a homemaker but occasionally as a legal secretary, in retail sales and in floristry.

She was happiest surrounded by family. Douglas and Merlyn had three children: Rebecca, Daniel and Greg; seven grandchildren: Lucas, Adam, Zachary, Rachel, Nicholas, Serena and Nathan; and one great-grandchild, Nami.

She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life was held March 28 in Centralia, Wash.

The family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
