Francesco “Frank” Morreale, 85, of Sweet Home died Oct. 5, 2014.
He was born Oct. 30, 1928 in Amsterdam, N.Y. to Antonio and Concetta (Morreale) Morreale.
Mr. Morreale served in the Navy from 1948 to 1969 for 21 years, and served in Vietnam.
He grew up in New York and retired in California. He moved to Sweet Home in 1972.
He loved to hunt, fish and camp. His other hobbies were gardening, woodworking and lathe carpentry.
Mr. Morreale is survived by his step-daughters, Margaret Turner of Santa Paula, Calif. and Wanda “Sue” Felkins and Sharon Fanning, both of Sweet Home; sisters Leana and Nancy; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; sister Jennie; and brothers Albert, James and Joe.
Graveside service with military honors are planned at 11 a.m. Monday Oct. 13, at Gilliland Cemetery.
