Betty Jean Meacham, 82, of Sweet Home, died May 29, 2013.
She was born Sept. 29, 1931 in Iowa to Lawrence and Henrietta (Dejoung) Leest.
She was married in Sweet Home and was a long-time resident. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing, square dancing and board games.
Mrs. Meacham is survived by a daughter, Cindy Pendergraft of Vancouver, Wash.; sisters Evelyn Manning and Francis Pedersen, both of Portland; brothers Don Leest of Coos Bay, Henry Leest of North Bend and Gerald Leest of Sweet Home; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Meacham, in 2003 and son Norman Meacham in 2013.
