Loretta Fromcke

Feb. 19, 1942 – March 21, 2014

Loretta Gertrude Fromcke, 72, of Sweet Home died Friday, March 21, 2014.

She was born in Jasper, Arkansas to Troy and Verdine (Kilgore) Spencer on Feb. 19, 1942.

She moved to Sweet Home in 1947.

She married Richard Fromcke on August 12, 1961.

Her husband’s work took them to Elgin, Klamath Falls, Salem and Albany before they moved back to Sweet Home in 1968.

Fromcke was a dedicated and loving wife and mother.

She was a retired seasonal employee of fish hatcheries in Oregon. She enjoyed being an Oregon Jamboree volunteer and was a member of the Sweet Home Christian Church. Loretta’s hobbies included Bible and devotional studies, dancing, Bunko, walking, playing with “Roxy” and trips to Reno.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Fromcke of Sweet Home; daughter, Denise Wolfe and son-in-law, Mike, of Eugene; son, Dennis Fromcke and daughter-in-law, Kathy, of Albany; two grandchildren; three nieces and two nephews; and her Boston Terrier, “Roxy.”

Mrs. Fromcke was preceded in death by her dad, Troy Spencer in 1978; mother, Verdine Spencer in 1991; sister, Charlotte Lundstrom in 1994; and brother, Ed Spencer in 2008.

A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 4, at Sweet Home Christian Church. Final burial will be at Gilliland Cemetery. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
