Norma Louise Grant, 85, of Sweet Home, died unexpectedly on Feb. 18, 2014, surrounded by her family.
She was born Feb. 15, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Arthur DeVan and Nellie LaPreal (Green) Burningham.
She grew up in the Bountiful, Utah area before moving with her family to Oakland Calif.. She married Donald Lewis Grant on July 2, 1948.
Together they had three children. Mrs. Grant lived in the Hayward, Calif. area until moving to Sweet Home around 1969.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Donald Grant; son Rodney and daughter-in-law Merry Grant of Vancouver, Wash.; daughter Laura and son-in-law Warren of Lebanon; son-in-law Brennan Raebel of Tigard; many grandchildren; one great -granddaughter; sister RaeEtta (George) Boughner; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Grant was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Noel and Norman, sister LaRane Bowler, and daughter Kimberly Raebel.
Viewing will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. A funeral service is planned for 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at Sweet Home Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a viewing prior to service at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Gilliland Ceme-tery in Sweet Home.
