Vernon Blair Geil, 93, of Sweet Home died Oct. 23, 2013.
He was born Nov. 22, 1919 in Prineville to Joseph A. and Lilly (Rowell) Geil.
Mr. Geil was survived by six children: Joe and Joyce Geil, Joy and Fred Honeywell, Michael and Grace Geil, Starla and Paul Walker, Martha and Steve Morrill, and Mary Swope; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred (Pappin) Geil and son-in-law, Rev. Bob R. Swope.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Sweet Home Mennonite Church, Sweet Home Assembly of God or Talking Book and Braille Services of Oregon.
A service for Vernon and Mildred Geil, celebrating their 75 years together, is planned for 1:30 pm Saturday, Nov.16, at Sweet Home Mennonite Church. 1266 44th Ave., Sweet Home.
Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
