Naomi “Joyce” VanWagner, 92, died Oct. 3, 2013 in Eugene.

She was born June 12, 1921 in Nebraska to Earl and Mary (Davidson) Sisty, the first of a set of twins, and was very proud of being a twin.

She married Jake VanWagner, who worked in construction and they moved around throughout their marriage. She lived in Oregon later in life and settled in Sweet Home after retirement.

Mrs. VanWagner attended 18th and Long Christian Church in Sweet Home.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and entering her work in fairs and contests. She loved playing games and getting together with friends.

Mrs. VanWagner is survived by her very dear friend Evelyn Brown and some distant relatives, with whom she lost contact in recent years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake VanWagner; her twin sister Janice; brother Darrel; and her cat Cascade.

Viewing will be at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Private burial will be at Gilliland Cemetery.
