Robert John “Jack” Simkins, 86, of Sweet Home died at home in Spanaway, Wash. with his daughter Gail and son-in-law Benjamin at his side.
He was born in St Ignatius, Mont. to Jess and Flora Simkins.
He graduated from the University of Montana and taught high school business in Roundup, Mont., Echo and Heppner, Ore. and retired from teaching at Central Linn High School in Halsey.
He was preceded in death by his wife Bernice in 2006.
He is survived by his children Michael Simkins, Jon Simkins, Valerie Stillwell, Teri Wood, Jimmy Simkins and Gail Luther, niece Judy Ayers, nephew Terry Simkins; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Fir Lane Funeral Home of Spanaway is in charge of arrangements.
